embroidery project #3 (unfinished)
ONTO PROJECT #3, ADVENTURES IN SATIN STITCHING
This one is as of yet unfinished, partially because I went through a crafting roadblock once grad school kicked back into high gear and partially because I haaaate starting and ending threads and turns out that you do more of that than actually stitching with a geometric pattern!!! BUT I still love the pattern, as sloppy as my satin stitching is, and I do intend to finish this one at some point! I don't have an actual source for the pattern, as it's taken from a random photo of someone else's embroidery that isn't properly credited anywhere that I could find. But, here's that photo!
I'd like to say that you could track my progress with satin stitch through the different sections but that's totally untrue, since some of the most perfect and beautiful sections were at the very beginning and some of the really uneven ones I had to go back and awkwardly fill in are from pretty late into the process. I'LL... GET IT SOMEDAY.
Project #4 is yet unfinished and also a ~surprise~, so the next project I post will be #5!
