embroidery project #1
I decided I'm going to start keeping track of my embroidery projects on here, so I'm going to go back in time to the very first thing I ever stitched!

This is a stitch sampler that I found over at Adventures in Making! It was definitely a helpful thing to start with, and you can see how wobbly everything is (and where I was too lazy to fix a weird bunch-up thing that happened with the yellow threads in the middle-- and I thiiink I dropped some rows in there???), but there's only been up to go from there!
When I first started embroidering, I just got myself one big sheet of evenweave fabric (in addition to the hoop, needles, floss, and water-soluble pen,) and I did the first couple of projects all on that same piece because I figured I wouldn't want to frame any of them. I'll have to dig it back out to take the next couple photos, but for now, here's #1!
